Water, water everywhere! The muscles in our bodies consist of 75% water. What happens If you are dehydrated? With only a 1% decrease in water, your core temperature rises during exercise. With approximately 4% decrease in water, your body will struggle to dissipate heat and strain your cardiovascular system. Passing out is likely with a 7% decrease of water. With just mild dehydration, you lose energy and become very tired. With a loss of 20%-YOU DIE!
The vital functions of water:
- Transports nutrients and oxygen into cells
- Moisturizes the air in lungs
- Helps with metabolism
- Protects our vital organs
- Helps our organs to absorb nutrients better
- Regulates body temperature
- Protects and moisturizes our joints
With all the Body's mechanisms relying on water, I feel it is the only supplement worth taking!
As a general rule as stated in next week's bonus for the Whole Life Challenge, we should be ingesting .5 ounces per 1 pound body weight.
There is no extra credit for more than the recommended amount. Too much of a good thing may also lead to untimely demise.

“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” ― Bruce Lee
