We emphatically say YES!* Both regular coached WOD and the COMPETITION PREP programming are for everyone. Though they seem overly difficult, remember that we program for top athletes and scale as necessary. The WOD is meant to be daunting and challenging just like CrossFit.com main site WODs. We learn to leave the pink elephant (big EGO) at the door and scale appropriately.
By driving over the Grapevine and highway 152, Michaela tackled her fear. She hates dark and windy roads. I reminded her that it was is okay to pull over anytime so I may take over. Instead, she decided to conquer her fear and drive confidently over miles of twisting roads. In the end, she proudly navigated through it all and came away with more driving experience points to her credit. Slow, safe and steady we know she is not Mario Andretti, just like her first year of CrossFitting 5 years ago we knew she was no Annie Sakamoto. Come to think of it, Annie is miles from where she was 5 years ago!
So let us venture to see how far we can go. DO WHAT WHAT SCARES YOU and tackle those weaknesses and fortify your strengths! Cliche?.. Oh well- It makes us better.
*COMPETITION PREP is not a supervised class and we recommend starting with the regular classes.
